After attending CES in Las Vegas this past January, I saw one of the most innovative beauty tools of the year (and that’s saying a lot, considering we were only one month into the year) from L’Oréal. The beauty group–also the first beauty brand ever selected as a keynote speaker at the annual consumer electronics trade show—unveiled the AirLight Pro infrared hair dryer. I’ve been hooked on the tool ever since its debut, and it’s now available to shop.
The AirLight Pro uses infrared light—which can generate heat similar to the sun’s rays—and airflow to blow-dry hair. This technology is different from traditional hair dryers that use heated air, which can pull moisture from the hair and cause damage. By using infrared light, the hair fibers don’t get too hot and retain their internal moisture, resulting in 33 percent shinier hair that is almost 60 percent smoother. The combination of infrared light and airflow dries the hair more efficiently, similar to a sunny and windy day after a rainstorm.
In addition to its innovative technology, the AirLight Pro is also energy-efficient, using 30 percent less energy than traditional hair dryers. It comes with two attachments: a diffuser and a concentrator nozzle. The dryer automatically adjusts its speed and heat when you attach one of them magnetically. The dryer even has a scalp mode, which reduces the heat to protect the root and scalp from damage.
L’Oréal and Zuvi have also created an app to control settings like temperature and speed, allowing users to create personalized profiles for different hair types and desired looks. These personalization modes can help sustain a blowout and ensure long-lasting results. This collaboration is not the first time L’Oréal has partnered with another brand to advance its technology.
The AirLight Pro is available for $475 at ulta.com, offering a high-tech and efficient way to style your hair while protecting its health and shine. With its unique features and innovative design, the AirLight Pro is revolutionizing the way we approach hair styling at home.
