On a Tuesday night in June, Sabrina Fuentes, the 24-year-old frontwoman of the band Pretty Sick, was out and about in New York City’s East Village. She started her evening with a glass of orange wine at a bar on Canal Street, dressed in Issey Miyake jeans and a black tank top. As she chatted with friends and acquaintances, including actor Reza Nader and rapper Despot, she shared insights about her music and upcoming projects.

Born and raised in Manhattan, Ms. Fuentes formed Pretty Sick as a teenager and released her first album in 2022. Despite some criticism for wearing her influences on her sleeve, she has gained recognition for her raw and authentic sound. In addition to releasing a new EP titled “Streetwise,” she is also launching a clothing line called P.S. by Pretty Sick, which will be available online and in select stores.

As she navigates the music scene and expands her creative endeavors, Sabrina Fuentes remains true to her roots and continues to make her mark on the industry. Her dedication to her craft and willingness to push boundaries sets her apart as a rising star in the music world.
