At the end of my rope with a relative who can’t seem to stop lying. She spins tales that are so obviously false, I had to Google them just to confirm what I already knew. Like seriously, she claimed to have gone to high school with a celebrity who is literally 15 years older than her. I mean, come on! She’s always trying to one-up me in every conversation, and quite frankly, I’m over it. I want to cut ties with her completely. Why does she feel the need to constantly lie and seek attention? I just can’t wrap my head around it.

Not really sure why this matters, but years ago, I bought this recipe booklet from Dear Abby, and there was this bomb gazpacho recipe in there that I loved. No oil, just fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, I lost the booklet and now I’m desperate to get my hands on that gazpacho recipe again. Also, I’m curious if the booklet is still available because there were other tasty dishes in there that I enjoyed making. Any chance you could share the gazpacho recipe with me? Thanks a bunch! – Brenda B. in Boston

So here’s the deal, Brenda. The gazpacho recipe you’re craving is a winner for sure. It’s light, refreshing, and perfect for those warm spring and summer days. You can find it in the first Cookbooklet set from Dear Abby. I got you covered with the details: it serves 8 (1/2 cup) portions, and here’s what you’ll need: tomato juice, tomatoes, cucumbers, green pepper, onion, vinegar, Tabasco sauce, and some seasonings like salt, pepper, and garlic. Mix it all up, let it chill for a day or two, and boom – you got yourself a delicious gazpacho.

Not really sure why anyone would want to miss out on these recipes, but if you’re interested in getting your hands on the Cookbooklet set, all you gotta do is send your deets along with a check or money order for $16 to the address below. You’ll get a bunch of awesome recipes ranging from appetizers to desserts, and some of those desserts even won prizes at county fairs. So, yeah, it’s totally worth it. As my mom used to say, the success of a party depends on who’s sitting at the table, not just what’s on it. Enjoy the recipe, Brenda, and happy cooking!
