Breast sag? No fear, the internal bra is here.
A new trend, the “internal bra,” promises to keep your girls perky without the need for a traditional bra.
Doctors insert a mesh-like material into the breasts to provide internal support that defies gravity and lasts for years.
Dr. Bruce Van Natta, a plastic surgeon from Indianapolis, swears by the procedure, claiming that even women in their seventies no longer need bras after getting it done.
While it may not be a magical solution, for some, this internal bra surgery could be the best thing that ever happened to their breasts.
Two materials are commonly used for this procedure: GalaFLEX, a polymer mesh shaped like a demi-bra, and ADM, which is processed tissue from humans or animals.
GalaFLEX, initially for hernias, helps the body develop stronger tissue over time, while ADM is pricier and considered a more natural option.
Both materials may be felt under the skin by some patients, depending on their body type.
Experts emphasize that this procedure is not just for those who want to ditch their bras, but for those considering other breast surgeries like lifts or augmentations.
Younger patients often request the internal bra, thinking it means they’ll never have to wear a bra again, but that’s not quite the case.
