Just before the Paris Olympics, textile and apparel manufacturers from around the world are getting ready to gather in Paris for the Texworld and Apparel Sourcing fairs from July 1 to 3. This trade show will bring together a total of 1,154 companies at the Porte de Versailles. With nearly 530 exhibitors, Apparel Sourcing will be closely matched by Texworld, which will have around 570 exhibitors showcasing textile and materials.

In addition to these exhibitors, there will be a Denim zone with 30 exhibitors and a Leatherworld zone with 20 leather specialists. The Leatherworld zone will also feature a Leather Trend forum co-produced with Edizioni AF. One of the highlights of this year’s event is the introduction of Yarn Expo, a dedicated space for yarns and fibers. This space echoes the biannual fair organized by Messe Frankfurt alongside Intertextile Shanghai. Yarn Expo will showcase productions from China, India, Pakistan, and Taiwan.

Apparel Sourcing will welcome 30 Chinese manufacturers who will be showcasing their own brands or producing white-label goods for European distributors. These exhibitors will be easily identifiable by a Chinese Brands Gallery logo. The accessories sector will also see an expansion to include a variety of jewelry and bags.

For those interested in innovation, the Avantex space will have a Designer Hub for meetings between designers and buyers, as well as a ReSources zone focused on sustainable innovation. The Near Sourcing Hub will provide solutions for proximity production, featuring around 20 companies from Portugal, Turkey, and Serbia.

This edition of the trade show will also feature thematic conferences covering a range of topics. The Bali Chair will discuss the challenges and opportunities of digital product passports for textile items. Other topics will include European regulations, the growing influence of African fashion, and the revaluation of textile products.

Overall, the Texworld and Apparel Sourcing fairs in Paris are shaping up to be a comprehensive event for the textile and apparel industry, offering a platform for networking, innovation, and discussion on key industry trends and challenges.
