Skechers recently announced that Mohammed Kudus, the talented winger from West Ham United and the Ghana National Team, has been appointed as their newest brand ambassador. Kudus will now be representing Skechers as a brand ambassador and will be featured in various marketing campaigns to support Skechers Football. He will also be showcasing and promoting Skechers Football boots, specifically the Skechers Razor football boots from the new Evolution Pack, during the UEFA Euro 2024.
Greg Smith, the VP of product development and merchandising for Skechers Performance, expressed his excitement about having Kudus on board, stating that Kudus is a phenomenal player with a global fan base. He emphasized that Kudus, at just 23 years old, is already recognized for his exceptional skills on the field, making him the perfect athlete for Skechers. Smith also highlighted the innovative design, performance, and comfort that Skechers Football boots offer, mentioning the upcoming release of an expanded range of boots, including Academy and Youth styles.
Kudus started his professional career at the age of 18 with Danish club Nordsjælland before moving on to Eredivisie club Ajax and eventually joining Premier League club West Ham United in 2023. Internationally, Kudus has made a significant impact, scoring 11 goals in 32 appearances for Ghana since 2019. He has received numerous accolades, including multiple selections for the Eredivisie Team of the Month, a spot in the CAF Team of the Year, and being named Ghana Footballer of the Year in 2023.
Expressing his excitement about the partnership, Kudus shared his positive experience with the Skechers Razor boots, describing them as the best and most comfortable boots he has ever worn. He expressed his enthusiasm for officially joining forces with Skechers and looks forward to collaborating with the brand to introduce their products to more players worldwide.
Skechers Football made a strong entry into the market by signing Harry Kane from Bayern Munich as their first sponsored athlete at the beginning of the 2023/24 season. The brand has since expanded its roster to include other top athletes like Oleksandr Zinchenko from Arsenal and the Ukrainian National Team, as well as Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest and the Swedish National Team.
The addition of Mohammed Kudus to the Skechers team further strengthens the brand’s presence in the world of football and highlights their commitment to providing athletes with innovative and high-performance footwear. With Kudus on board, Skechers is poised to reach a wider audience of players and fans, solidifying their position as a leader in the football footwear industry.
